The Ch’an Dao principle is open to all. It is the study of the mind and the development of the body. The written material on this site may be accessed and used by anyone with an interest in personal development, but is subject to Copyright Law, and may not be used for any commercial purpose. The Buddhist Ch’an teachings can be used in conjunction with any chosen activity or art (Dao).
In this system, those who have completed at least five years of training and have been appropriately tested in a suitable and traditional manner, may refer to themselves as Assistant Instructors. Full Instructors are rare, as such this rank requires at least ten years of training and suitable, traditional testing.
The Ch’an Dao Martial Arts Association is a ‘not for profit’ organisation. It is a co-ordinating cultural entity, facilitating the preservation and transmission of traditional Chinese spiritual and martial teachings. Those with suitable training, and who have expressed a willingness to teach others, are listed below. It is the responsibility of each teacher to arrange his/her teaching criterion around the local conditions that prevail for their particular students.
